SomeTime in the Summertime was a lot of fun. I am more and more in favor of my idea. It was really more fun than Thanksgiving. For starters, I wasn't worn out from cooking and coordinating.
JA went and got the ice and iced the drinks for me.
Barry made meatballs for meatball sandwiches, and cooked corn on the cob. Everybody loved the meatballs. He helped me things cleaned up and ready, and it was fun for it to feel like a together thing.
He also fixed the volleyball net. We didn't end up playing volleyball though. The kids headed straight for the pool, and the big kids mostly stayed in the air conditioning.
Willo wanting Beverly to help her change clothes.
Shawn and Zak, hanging out.
Brittany had fun in Florida.
Beverly offering to help Barry with the difficult part of juicing.

Had a nice phone visit with Annette.
Tori saw Orcas yesterday. Said it made her so happy she probably won't ever be sad again.
Brittany is having fun at her doll-making class.
Beverly had a good first day at work.
Beth posted funny things about turning her hair blue.

| It wasn't the first time work has kept Brit from Goodtimes, but somehow when I was buying the snacks, and saw the brownies, which I always chose for Brit because she didn't like the nuts on the other brownies, I just felt sad. So, I pulled one out of the box and sent her a text, letting her know that I was saving one for her. |

~Barry, after we were back home and settling in to watch T.V. "Another successful Second Sunday Supper."
~He said "Morgan was proud of her cooking. She had a right to be."
~Willo was scared when she got here, but she came to me so we could go get her card with the duck. She's learned I keep little surprises for her in my office. She seemed pretty happy after that.
~She wanted to play with Daniel's toy. It was on the table, and he was sort of leaned over, hugging it. I told her he seemed to be holding on to that pretty tightly. He said, "She can play with it." He was going to let her put on it on the floor, but she said, "I'll sit by you, Daniel."
~Willo, puckering up for a kiss, when I protested that I couldn't go with her to my office because I miss the good-bye kisses from the kids who were gathering up to leave.
~I'm always the one looking for kisses, so when I heard Andrew say, as Annette was about to shut their front door on our way to the estate sale, "want to say Hi to Mom," it made me feel good.
~Beth and I had a good time Saturday morning. I sailed into Saturday without a lot of leftover Wonderland on my mind, so much less stress. We played tennis, and then we had lunch.
~Annette went with us to the monthly estate sale, and we had a good time looking at things together. I had decided before I went that hanging out with her was more important to me than my usual self-focused walk through.
~Kids at the table, laughing and talking before supper.
~Played in the bonsai garden with Barry.
~Brittany, carving the roast, putting the vegetables in the bowl, "I'll do this. You can go and visit."

So, apparently we do have some font choices! I don't know if I have them on my phone or not.
Barry and I spent Monday evening in the pottery barn. First time I'd been out there in a long time. I did a little glazing. It was fun to use Frost Blue just because I wanted to.
Angela, Morgan, and Brit were here yesterday, working. Love and laughter.
Kennedy and John came late yesterday afternoon and had supper with us. More love and laughter.

Brittany, geocaching: I'm going to go where my compass leads me.
Mama cat coming up to me on the front porch, reminding me of when the babies were little and wanted to be picked up. I don't know why it reminded me of that since what she wanted was good but it did.
Skyler got a new karate belt, and she's learned to balance a bat in the palm of her hand.
Morgan, worth a plan for the Christmas lights.
