Morgan called. She said she just hadn't talked to me in a while, and I loved that she took the time to call. She'd just come from her first International Studies group meeting, and they were assigned to specific committees, and she got marketing, which I think is just perfect for her. It is an internship, and her picture will be on their website and everything. She told me about work, and the mail cart, and all the new names she is having to learn, but said that the bosses are nice. And she asked how I was doing.

Really enjoyed my little road trip with Josh. When we got to the airport, and were out of the car and walking in, he said something to the effect that to be honest, he'd worried a little about our trip --- about how we'd do, what we'd talk about --- and I interrupted with, "Me, too! But we did good!" And we did. It was a chatty, easy visit, and I enjoyed it.
When we were at the cafe, my contact started to give me trouble, and after I struggled a few seconds, he said gently, "Do you need to go to the restroom to fix it? I don't mind sitting here and holding down the fort. I've worn contacts before --- I know what that's like." It occurred to me this morning on my swim that he is just instinctively considerate.
When Tori came through the gate, I stood a few steps behind, and after they had a big hug, but while she was still looking at him, he said, "I'm sure your granny wants a hug, too."
A few minutes later, when he stepped away to look for the elevator, she gave me another hug and said, "Thank you for going to get him!"
He said that she is pretty clear that she wants to raise her children close enough to Angela's for the them to get to know each other, and that he is fine with that. That he had thought for a long time that you should just move away from family, but that he sees now that both ideas are valid, and it is about whatever makes you happy. He said that his grandfather, who lives in Florida, has invited both he and Tori to come stay with him after graduation, if they are still looking for jobs. He said graduation will be the hard time --- when what if their dream jobs turn out to be in very different places. We talked about graduate school, and he said, "If Tori wants to go to graduate school, I'll just get a job wherever she goes."
Morgan took $500 out of her savings to get a secured credit card. When she told me that, I said, do you realize what you just said? Do realize how few human beings who are your age can say, "I took $500 out of my savings..." I think she made a wise move, and told her so, because at some point, she is going to need credit.
She took the bed frame from here and has it all washed up and painted and looking good!
Rodney called to say that Blake might be coming to visit us.
Angela brought A Sharper Image t-shirts for Barry and me.
Beverly is loving her new job. "Okay, Miss I Have to Do Everything All by Myself," --- "Well, it's always been that way." (Her to her new boss.)

Did a document in Excel. Actually, Virginia had created it, but I was able to figure out how to edit it. I had never done that before.
Mark said he admired what we'd done with the business.
My pretty fingernails!
The boys did a good job on the kitchen last night.
Morgan said that she missed grocery shopping when she was in Rome.
We are going to have almost everybody here for Second Sunday Supper!
Virginia and I laughed together after work yesterday.
Tyler said his shoes fit him.

~Barry, after we were back home and settling in to watch T.V. "Another successful Second Sunday Supper."
~He said "Morgan was proud of her cooking. She had a right to be."
~Willo was scared when she got here, but she came to me so we could go get her card with the duck. She's learned I keep little surprises for her in my office. She seemed pretty happy after that.
~She wanted to play with Daniel's toy. It was on the table, and he was sort of leaned over, hugging it. I told her he seemed to be holding on to that pretty tightly. He said, "She can play with it." He was going to let her put on it on the floor, but she said, "I'll sit by you, Daniel."
~Willo, puckering up for a kiss, when I protested that I couldn't go with her to my office because I miss the good-bye kisses from the kids who were gathering up to leave.
~I'm always the one looking for kisses, so when I heard Andrew say, as Annette was about to shut their front door on our way to the estate sale, "want to say Hi to Mom," it made me feel good.
~Beth and I had a good time Saturday morning. I sailed into Saturday without a lot of leftover Wonderland on my mind, so much less stress. We played tennis, and then we had lunch.
~Annette went with us to the monthly estate sale, and we had a good time looking at things together. I had decided before I went that hanging out with her was more important to me than my usual self-focused walk through.
~Kids at the table, laughing and talking before supper.
~Played in the bonsai garden with Barry.
~Brittany, carving the roast, putting the vegetables in the bowl, "I'll do this. You can go and visit."

So, apparently we do have some font choices! I don't know if I have them on my phone or not.
Barry and I spent Monday evening in the pottery barn. First time I'd been out there in a long time. I did a little glazing. It was fun to use Frost Blue just because I wanted to.
Angela, Morgan, and Brit were here yesterday, working. Love and laughter.
Kennedy and John came late yesterday afternoon and had supper with us. More love and laughter.

So, we had Second Sunday Supper last night. It wasn't a full house, but it was a house full, and there seemed to be lots of love and laughter.
After supper, Papa got up and went and sat at the square dining room table and visited with the grandbabies sitting there (the younger bunch had already fled their table). Morgan talked about that this morning --- how much fun it was, and that he told them about making his own clay, and mud riding in the power lines, and got out his album and showed them pictures.
Angela called to see if we needed any ice --- she and Ryan were on their way.
She seems so happy. I told her that, as she was giving me a hug good bye. She said, "I am."
She and Ken had a lot of fun this weekend. Kennedy brings a special game for she and Angela to play together, and Ange said she thinks that's very sweet.
Skyler, to Annette, as she was getting a brownie, "I thought you said there were going to be cookies."
Zak brought Shawn.
Rodney came with a truck load of snacks. After supper, we put the boxes out on the dining room table.
Gave the albums last night. Annette said it is her favorite present of the year. Angela and Morgan took their albums to the sofa, and Brittany, Zak and Shawn joined them ---- looking at the pictures, reminiscing, laughing together.
Annette giving me the picture sign ... Brit and Shawn and their casts.
Barry and I played in the bonsai garden on Saturday. I did my first very own repotting, and my first very own wiring. Sunday, I rearranged the plants on three of the shelves. This morning Barry said that he really liked it.
Angela and Morgan, wedding planning.
Annette saying that she wants to help.
Beverly called. "Yay!" she said, about coming home.

Angela and Morgan were both here yesterday, and we walked out to see the flowers. Morgan was so excited when she saw the pink tulips blooming. And our Japanese magnolia was in full bloom!

My iron count was good and so was my blood pressure.
Morgan... so much fun to watch them having so much fun.
Hugging Bertice McPherson.
~When we left the grocery store, the blood bank van was parked outside. Barry asked if I wanted to give blood, and we weren't in a hurry, so we did. They had to test our iron count and take our blood pressure first, and both were good.
~Morgan, about going to the ISIS parade: "It is so much fun to watch them having so much fun." That her mom had called and said they didn't have to come if they didn't want to, with the rain and everything, and when she said, "We're already down here!" Beth had been very happy. Morgan said, "They came to watch us in everything we were in," and talked about how much fun it was --- Rodney, "That's my daughter!" and the throws coming at them.
~And so I saw Bertice McPherson at the Clay Conference. I stopped her just long enough to tell her we had enjoyed her class years ago. Saw her again at the reception. Complimented the blue moon. She said she was in her blue period. Told her I understood that. She said, "Well, I lost my husband four (?) months ago." And I hugged her. Good long hug, and she said, "Thank you for the hug. Hugs are the best."

Looking at Beverly and J.A.'s wedding book with Angela and Morgan
So... we were talking about Thursday, and the schedule, and whether or not Angela could let the dogs out, and Morgan said, "She can't stay until 5:00. We have a wedding planning meeting." Laughter.
Angela said she and Ryan are scheduled to look at a possible wedding venue. She and Morgan talked about getting things organized. There was talk of being grateful for Pinterest. And then I asked Ange if she would like to see the book I used when planning her mama and daddy's wedding. We spent about 30 minutes looking through it. Laughing at my notes. Morgan said, "My mom doodles just like you do!" Angela said she and her mother do, too. We talked about the flower I draw all the time. We saw Angela's crayon notes added to my notes. We laughed about the chore lists --- that "Clean your room" was at the top of Beverly's. How young she looked in her picture. My Joy Journal note tucked away. My poem about the rose, and why it isn't finished yet. And then I got lots of hugs from both of them.

So, my computer is responding exceedingly slowly --- I'm more in touch with aggravation than I am with joy and appreciation, but we'll give it a go...
Beth stopped by yesterday to get her pottery and visit a minute and bring us some king cake. Barry came in to my office and said, "I'm not sure, but I think the Beth-mobile is here!"
Morgan revamped the craft room! It looks amazing. Lots of things vamoosed.
I think we've found our new computer guy. He is easy to work with. And I think we have a solution that is going to work, although I'm still going to have to drag the laptop back and forth, which was kind of disappointing.
Beverly posted some cool things to my timeline.

Played rook with evan.
Morgan. .. Picture of dinner
Evan came to spend Saturday night with us, and on Sunday he and I figured out how to play ROOK. Or rather he did --- he beat me!
Morgan sent me a text, picture of the dinner she fixed, "Thank you for allowing me to learn how to cook cause my dinner is YUMMY!"

Kennedy and John were here Friday, and came by to see us and visit for a little while. We tried to figure out where to go have supper ---- Kennedy started out telling John that she thought maybe they could learn something from us, as they have that discussion all of the time, but the conversation took so long that she changed her mind ---- "Y'all are worse that we are!"
Beth stopped by with some yummy king cake that she brought home from New Orleans.
Zak put a picture on twitter of him and Morgan at the hunting camp, with a note that they looked almost just alike --- and they did. She showed it to me, and the said that every time she puts something on Twitter, he has something funny to say about it.

Beth brought us chicken salad. She had told us about new place --- Chicken Salad Chick, I think --- that she thought Barry and I would like. They have something like 24 different kinds of chicken salad. But they're only open for lunch on the weekdays, or something like that. She bought three different kinds of chicken salad, and some croissants, made us six sandwiches, and put them in ziplock bags for us. It worked out perfectly, because we were going to have Winn Dixie salads for supper, and I didn't think that would be quite enough. The sandwiches were just right. Mostly, it tickled me that she went to so much trouble for us.
Beverly is happy! I got to talk to her after she finished her first day of training for her new job. She was tired, having been too jazzed to sleep through the night the night before, but very happy about her new job. They focus on teamwork, on noticing the ways they are alike, on their personalities and working with those. They have outreaches in the schools, and support programs for mothers. She is very excited about being hands on, making a difference.
Hugs from Morgan. Text from Angela.
Morgan, re finding the little present I had gotten for Beth, "Looking for something in your office is a little like looking for something in those pictures --- "find the hidden object." ;-)

Slept good last night. New routine is starting to come together. I'm happy with my idea about opening up the wall between the laundry room and the sitting room, and with the way the work is coming. Went to the pottery barn last night.
Got texts from Kennedy and Amber and Evan and Zak.
Morgan and I had a nice Tuesday morning meeting.

I got the front bedroom straightened back up Saturday, and that is a relief. I found the papers I'm going to need to get Andrea started on posting 2014 things. I thought of ways that I can get all of the Wonderland things I've had on Angela moved back out to the office. I have a plan for releasing the mileage project, and also the bill paying. There will have to be more, but those will come from projects, and I will just have to think differently about those each time they come up: Does it have to be me?
Morgan and Beth had fun shopping for Morgan's "grown up" ensemble for her interview today.
Got to talk to Daddy and Kathi. I mentioned that I'd seen the article on the Dogs for Life groundbreaking, and Daddy told me that they had given her an award. She and I talked about that. She was cute --- said it was her first award --- all the rest were for her and Daddy together, or just for Daddy.
