Time with Beverly. She didn't have to be at work as early, so we had a little time to visit.
Andrew liked something on my Facebook page! It was a post about a book a taxi cab driver put in his taxi....If you are happy, write in the book what makes you happy. If you aren't happy, read the book.

Willo, "What's next?"
Younger kids playing with Willo.
Faith on the sofa with her cell phone.
Four very lonely tables last night. Finally scrunched them in a little.
John, hug and thank you as soon as he opened his card. Chris thank you.
Chris, John, Shawn, Beverly and JA helped me.
Beverly, doing the dishes even when her legs were tired.

Andrew stopped by to see us. He was out in this area for a wake, and stopped by. It just made me happy that he reached for us.

I was glad I went with Annette for her appointment yesterday. I like to think that my being there to keep her company made things easier while she waited for her appointment. The best news is that there was no cancer at the margin of what they took out.
She said that Andrew had been really cute lately, just the loving things that he had been doing, just the way she would catch him looking at her sometimes. I said, "Glad you're alive." She said, "I know that's what he's thinking." She said he thanked her the other day, for chasing him and not letting him go. That after awhile he gave her his number and said, "Call me sometime." She laughed as she told me that she followed the rule, and waited three days.
We just had a nice girl talk.

June 5. Annette said that I am like a mother to her. We were talking about my coming back with to pre-op with her and Andrew. She wanted me there. "You are like a mother to me."
The tone in Andrews voice when he paid for my lunch. It was 11 when they finally took Annette back. Andrew asked me if I wanted to go to the cafeteria. Took us a minute to find it, and it is more of a food court than anything, with three or four different stations. When I got my plate, he asked if I wanted to put it on his tray, and he got to the cashier first, while I was getting my drink. I got my card out, but he said, "Mom, I've got this" and I could just tell from his expression that I needed to let him do it.

So --- it's been awhile, hasn't it?
Sometimes, I just don't have the energy to think too much about joyful thoughts. (And I am going to want a different chair.)
But when we were at the Battleship, we got to the door just about the same time, and from the opposite direction as a long line of teen-aged,, uniformed, young men. Andrew held the door for them. His doing that warmed my heart.
Later, he talked about having a Facebook discussion with the Democrat who was running for congress, and said that the man finally agreed with him. I thought that was pretty cool.
The whole weekend that Nana and Granddad were here went really well. Morgan and Brittany invited them over to their apartment.

Beverly is coming v home. Or, at least that's what she told me the other day when she called. She said the latest they'll stay in San Diego is August. She said she loves it, but JA hates it, and marriage is about compromise.
Andrew stopped in to n give us a hug! He and Paul were on their way to pick up Kara and Annette, and they stopped in to say hi. They talked with me and Papa for a few minutes, and when Andrew say me, he just gave me a hug --- more than our regular hello hug ... like an I really love you, mama, hug.
Playing crazy eights with Noah. I told him my grandmother and I used to play.
Noah looked unhappy. I asked. This movie makes me sad, he said. And I hugged him, and he gave me his tender pat pat pat hug.
